- Holly Swan was awarded the 2023 Outstanding Master's Thesis for her research Beaver Translocation for Ecosystem Health And Restoration: Uncovering Barriers to Policy Change In California. This is an incredible honor as her thesis was selected among all theses completed at Chico State in the 22-23 academic year. Congrats Holly!!
- Kristen received honorable mention for the Civically Engaged Scholar Award through the Office of Civic Engagement on campus.
- Kristen also received word that come the start of Fall 2024 semester, she will be promoted to Full Professor!
- Last, but not least, Claire Monahan will be (re)joining the lab as an MS student! Her thesis work will be related to the prescribed fire work that is happening up at the BCCER. We are all so excited to have her back in the lab!

Sabrina presented a poster summarizing their carbon sequestration results, and Kristen presented on the long term vegetation changes following restoration.
