Can't believe another academic year is in the books - and like other years, the end of this semester has been BUSY!
- Both Mikala and Cassie successfully defended their theses. Mikala's defense was in April (see post below). Cassie presented her research in early May on Bird diversity post-fire in Butte Creek Ecological Preserve.
- Mikala, Bri and Bryan all presented their research at the College of Natural Sciences poster symposium in early May. Bryan presented the culmination of his year long honors research titled Comparative leaf litter decomposition of Invasive Ficus carica and Native Platanus racemosa on a low order California stream. He will graduate with double honors (honors in the major and honors in general education) this spring!
- There was a really nice feature article on Claire and her upcoming graduation from University Communications. Claire has been working hard analyzing her data and writing up her research results!
- Kaylie's greenhouse study is winding down and she started working for the Plumas National Forest doing vegetation work. She'll be continuing to work on putting the finishing touches on her thesis this coming summer.
- Kristen has been gearing up for sabbatical...which is finally in view!
